School Meals

The Cornerstone Academy has a dedicated catering team producing fresh hot and cold meals on site daily, sourcing local ingredients where possible.

Our menus are regularly appraised, and we take an interest in student feedback, we are committed to producing good quality food that is both nutritious and appetising.

Please inform us if your child has any allergies so that we can ensure the staff are aware and that they are catered for.

Students may purchase food at morning break and lunchtime. Alternatively, students may bring their own packed lunches to eat in the dining room. All students are invited to join our free breakfast club each morning in the dining room.

Please note that fizzy drinks are not permitted.

Following Government guidelines, the catering staff record the allergens for each of the dishes we serve daily, if your child is unsure, they can ask any member of the Catering team. The cold food that we prepare daily is prepackaged before lunch service and labelled according to Natasha’s Law, all allergens are detailed on the labels. If your child has an allergy, please inform the school so we can make the catering team aware.

We have a no nut policy in school due to having students with severe airborne nut allergies. Students, staff and visitors are not permitted to bring nuts or foods containing nuts to school. This includes, but is not limited to, the following food items not being permitted in school: packs of nuts, peanut butter or Nutella/nut chocolate spreads, fruit/cereal bars, chocolate bars, sweets or cakes that contain nuts, or foods cooked in nut oil. Students need also be aware that if eating nuts or foods containing nuts before school, they need to wash their hands afterwards.
