In years 7, 8 and 9, students learn the foundations of the language. They learn to recognise the key sounds and common spellings of words. Spoken French becomes more fluent as students are much more confident with pronunciation and intonation.
Topics covered:
The French GCSE consists of four externally examined papers based on the following skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Questions across all four language skills are set in common contexts, addressing a range of relevant contemporary and cultural themes.
