Careers Parents

We understand the challenges faced when trying to support your son/daughter to make the best decision for their career ambitions. The Cornerstone Academy offers you as parents the chance to receive up to date information and guidance to ensure you are in the know about all the options available.

At the Academy, your child will complete a variety of activities, days off timetable and 1:1 and group careers guidance in order to develop the knowledge and skills needed to inform them of the world of work. We aim to educate our students with the information they need to make aspirational, yet realistic choices for post-16 and give them detailed labour market information in order to help them do this.

If your child would like to make an appointment to speak to someone regarding careers, options or anything else they need support with in terms of CEIAG, please email

What can you do to support your son/daughter?

It is important to encourage your child to research career ideas and to ensure that they have a back-up plan just in case their first choice does not work out for them.
